Carl McCartney (Ride)
Carl is one of the best known indoor cycling instructors in the country, with huge experience both as a trainer, and in fitness management. He started off as a gym instructor, and as an avid cyclist, indoor cycling was always going to be one of his star turns – in his roles as an RPM international presenter and a Les Mills key account manager, he’s had a big influence on the development of indoor cycling and other group exercise classes in the UK.
Carl’s style comes directly from traditional cycling. If you are looking for someone to help you technically to become a fitter, more powerful, and more effective cyclist, then he’s your man. If you’re simply looking for someone to encourage you through a high-spirited and intense workout, he’s still your man. Truly, Carl is a man for all riders – and his music is magic. If the beat’s right, and it raises your spirits, he’ll use it.
Carl’s all about cycling – when he’s not riding inside, he’s riding outside. Come ride with him soon.

Andy Flack (Ride)
Andy started his working career in the car industry, but soon realised that two wheels are better than four. He developed an enduring love of road cycling, and when he’s not spurring you on at Cyclebeat, you’ll still find him knocking out the miles on the open road.
Andy first got into indoor cycling as a way of supplementing his outdoor cycling training, and the rest, as they say, is history. He’s now been a personal trainer for ten years, and instructs various group exercise classes – but indoor cycling is still number one.
Andy’s rides are an absolute blast – he will push and encourage you, in a structured format in which he will make clear the goals of the ride – and group participation is strongly encouraged, so feel free to heckle. Andy’s music varies – he likes to rock, and he likes to party. If you’re looking for Bieber or One Direction, though, you may be disappointed – his ipod is allergic to them!
Andy’s a man of wide and eclectic tastes – from Hot Rod car shows to Korean movies. And when it comes to tattoos – if you show him yours, he’ll show you his!

Barnie Bujitor (Ride)
My love for sport started when I was young when I was introduced to Shotokan Karate. For 10 years I studied this martial art, winning 3 youth Championships in my home country and also winning a national championship in 2012. However a nasty injury when I was 16 where I tore both my quadriceps resulted in having to look at alternative sporting options. This was when I found cycling, after being told that it would be great to aid my recovery. Since then I have never looked back! I am now a Hungarian Cycling Master Trainer for Keiser.
An enquiry from a friend asking if I could cover some indoor cycling classes 6 years ago introduced me to the world of indoor cycling. I have grown to love this form of training as it complements my work on the road perfectly.
I try to inspire more with my music and not with too much talking. I always ensure that the key points are covered to avoid injuries and I explain the cycling science behind the drills that we do. The sessions are mostly Keiser Power Training based programs with some of my own ideas thrown in for good measure, ideal for people who want to improve their cycling skills or want to train for specific cycling events.
During my rides you will hear mostly Techno, Tec house and Deep house. I use Progressive music in the classes as I feel this really helps to keep people motivated. But my personal music tastes are more rock n roll as a result of playing in a band at school and I am also a big fan of 60’s and 70’s music so there may be a few surprises in there for you as well.

Daz Parker (Ride)
Darrelle, known to everyone as Daz, is an extraordinary woman. Her background is in theatre, she has competed in water polo and swimming, and has worked in film and TV for many years as a stunt woman (she recently had an on-screen fight with Matt Damon)!
Daz is also a professional triathlete, and it’s her love of cycling and music which led her to indoor cycling and Cyclebeat in particular. Daz’s rides are like her – hard fast fun – and she will motivate you with challenging intervals, her old skool music, and her big smile.
In the studio, you won’t have to fight her like Matt Damon. Instead, prepare to be dazzled.

Debbie Coughlin (Ride)
Debbie has a PhD in Chemistry from Cambridge University and a MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition (with Distinction) from St Mary’s University (London). Having built a successful career in Investment Banking, Debbie followed her passion for helping athletes achieve their goals by focusing on sports nutrition and indoor cycling.
“My classes get results!" says Debbie, they are structured and will test you to your limit, but they’re also achievable and fun. We will work through a range of training zones (no one can work flat out for 35/45mins). We’ll sweat. It won’t always be easy. But by the end of the class, we’ll all be one step closer to our individual fitness goals – and we’ll feel great!”

Gareth Turner (Ride)
Blackpool born, but North Wales bred, not only is Gareth our studio manager, he’s also an experienced cycling and fitness instructor. What a multi-talented fella he is! He started indoor cycling to complement his running training, and liked it so much, he became an instructor. That was 7 years ago, since then he has developed and honed his own unique style.
Gareth motivates his riders by thinking carefully about his music – the right track at just the right moment is incredibly motivating, while Gareth coaches them to work that bit harder and reach their potential. House is a favourite music style but he will play electronic, trance, indie and rock too.
Away from Cyclebeat rides, Gareth loves food (more the eating than the preparing) and is a bit of a film buff. But he is mainly busy managing the studio – he runs a very tight ship, both in an out of class.

Janine Joseph (Ride)
Janine loves cycling. Janine loves music. For Janine, cycling to music was always going to happen, and she’s made a brilliant career out of it – with 15 years under her belt, training other instructors, and creating cycling programmes. But the thing she enjoys most of all is putting on her music and leading a really great ride.
Janine runs dynamic, structured classes employing a variety of cycle-specific training techniques. Music plays a big part in her life and in her rides, where she uses Deep Trance and Progressive House sounds, with injections of Drum n' Bass and occasional R & B influences!
Janine’s love of riding goes beyond the studio - she is an avid road rider and is currently training to be a British Cycling Breeze Champion, leading rides for women in and around London. And when she’s not cycling? She uses her creative side as the director of a diamond jewellery company.
You will shine in Janine’s class. Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Nadine Griffiths (Ride)
Nadine discovered her passion for outdoor and indoor cycling following wear and tear from long distance running which eventually put a stop to pavement pounding.
Years of training with some of the best cycle coaches and instructors inspired her to want to motivate others to achieve their fitness goals through indoor cycling.
Whatever the goal - training for an event, weight management, improved fitness or general well being - her classes are designed to help get you there quicker.
High Intensity Interval Training is a key element. With a sharp focus on technique the objective is to become stronger through a program of strength, speed & power intervals, maximising the benefits in minimal time! Get stronger and the other goals are consequential.
The other big passion in Nadine’s life is her long love of music. Classically trained as a child, growing up with a jukebox in the lounge and then discovering what can be done with 2 record decks, she has a vast armoury of music. Combining these passions delivers a structured challenging workout utilising great beats, rhythms and indelible vocals essential for a motivating & enjoyable ride.
Playing across the dance music genres expect a dash of the unexpected dropped in. Kate Bush, Bob Marley anyone?

Paola Carreno (Ride)
Paola brings a Latin beat to Cyclebeat – she is from Barcelona, and after 6 years as a flight attendant she soared into London to follow her passion for fitness and music. She got into spinning 6 years ago, and the moment she found the connection between the pedal stroke and the beat of the music she fell in love with indoor cycling.
Paola doesn't believe in pushing riders towards destruction, it’s all about training clever to get great results. And expect to be surprised by her quirky musical choices.
Away from Cyclebeat, Paola loves trying all sorts of new group fitness activities - ballet, swimming - basically anything that involves sweating.
Her name’s Paola – come fly with her!

Cintra Brown (Hot Yoga)
Cintra is a dedicated and knowledgeable yoga teacher with spiritual messages. She gained her Bikram qualification in 1991 and she holds a rare certificate from the Ghosh College of Physical Education in Calcutta. Come along to experience Cintra’s class, where you will learn, laugh and come away with her ‘Cintraisms’ which are part of her teachings that help take yoga off the mat and into your everyday life. Who/What inspired you to teach? Bikram. Favourite posture/sequence? Standing Separate Leg Stretching. Post-class pick me up? Coconut Water. Guilty pleasure? Chocolate. You know it’s gonna be a good day when…? When I practise 90 minute Bikram. -
Peter Mac (Hot HIIT)
Who/What inspired you to teach? I remember years ago watching ‘Eric Thomas’ on YouTube. He brought out a motivational video on ‘How bad do you want it?’. I remember how I felt after I watched it – I was pumped and wanted one day to inspire people to feel the same way I just felt. Close to home – my older brother. Favourite posture/sequence? I love running and Clean and Press. I love how when you do these exercises you can push your body to the limit and it feels like your heart is going to jump out of your chest! Post-class pick me up? A Chai Latte from Costa or a power nap. Guilty pleasure? Cake and custard, or a good apple crumble (not soft crumble). You know it’s gonna be a good day when…? The way I eat the day before has a massive effect on how I feel the next day. If I eat well I will have a good day. I wake up bouncing, feel strong when I train, and generally am much more alert. So I know it’s going to be a good day if I’ve eaten well the day before!
